1,2,3-Propanetriol tribenzoate can be used as a flavoring agent (Flavouring Agents), JECFA No.: 861, Flavor Number: 3398, serving as a density/specific gravity balancer for flavors; as a plasticizer and binder in polymer coatings for packaging dry foods (direct food contact); as a plasticizer for heat-seal films in plastic packaging, polymer films for pressed discs, polyvinylidene fluoride flexible tubing, polyvinyl chloride pipes, organic photosensitive conductors, hot-melt labels, flexible polyester films, hot melt adhesives, moisture-curing sealants, inks, and topcoats; as a coating agent for foamed polymer particles; as a viscosity enhancer in ceramic printing glaze thermal transfer, laser-induced thermal transfer, and the production of thermal transfer labels; as a binder for anhydrous dyes; as a crystallization accelerator in polyester casting and injection molding; as an organic melt viscosity modifier; and as a solvent for chemiluminescence activators. It can be used for manufacturing sealing rings; preparing cable materials or wire and cable sheath materials; preparing metallized films for capacitors; preparing vulcanized rubber compounds resistant to ultraviolet radiation; preparing high weather-resistant PA6/PCTG/PAR composite materials, etc.
